I'd also suggest Sendtoreader (http://sendtoreader.com) which can send any web page (alone with images) to its user's Kindle. Another great feature of Sendtoreader is its "Periodicals" subsystem which delivers full-text articles from any RSS feed by schedule. It costs $5 a month, but it worth every single cent of that small fee, because it makes your Kindle a real news machine :)

I'm still trying to figure out whether there's really any room or possibility of Google+ (or anything else) overtaking Facebook. That's not because I love FB (I def. don't), but it just seems everyone's invested all of this time into assembling their friends/network on FB in a way that they haven't with Twitter or anything else.

That said, there is that deep pool of Google services, as you say, and if that can somehow be made really, really powerful in the way its integrated, then I think Google's got a shot with this with regard to Twitter, Tumblr, and yes, maybe even FB.

Wow, this seems like it should be really great. I don't have a Kindle, but I use the app for my iPhone, and I love the idea of being able to get Kindle books from the library.
