Twitter and 2.0 among top 10 words for 2009
What was the top word for 2009? Twitter.
That's according to the Global Language Monitor, which tracks language trends. "In a year dominated by world-shaking political events, a pandemic, the after-effects of a financial tsunami and the death of a revered pop icon, the word Twitter stands above all the other words,” says Paul JJ Payack, president of the Global Language Monitor.
But there were other interesting words in the top 10, too.
