There's no problem finding stock information on the Web -- it's everywhere -- but it's a bit harder to find information that's worth using. Lots of sites offer stock quotes and an update on the Dow Jones Industrial Average, but few provide material that's truly worthwhile. For an irreverent, amusing -- and, yes, useful -- take on the investing world, visit the Motley Fool, where two brothers (a.k.a. "the Fools") and their cohorts dispense investing advice and encouragement. You'll find lots of stock ideas at the site, with areas like Boring Portfolio ("stocks that are low on gloss and high on potential") or Daily Double (one that doubled in the past six months). And, of course, the site offers stock quotes, business news, message boards and more. |
