Trendistic

Twitter’s “trending topics” feature helps users see what’s being talked about, but the feature is fairly limited in what you can do with it. Trendistic improves on the idea and lets you track trends on Twitter through a visual graph of the number of mentions, as well as a selection of random tweets about that topic. That means you can see how popular “American Idol” is and then see what people are saying about it over the course of a day, week or month. You can also compare two or more words and observe their popularity in relation to each other (similar to Facebook Lexicon or Google Trends), and if you want to share your chart, there are links to post it to Twitter or to embed it wherever you want, giving Trendistic a much more robust set of features than Twitter’s built-in trend function.
