Sure, the Gawker-like site has its fair share of scantily clad man-meat, but this expected indulgence is balanced by the blog’s articles that address the issues facing the LGBT community effectively and in-depth without losing its lighthearted nature. The coverage of real topics certainly outweighs the eye candy, so the shirtless pictures can be thought of as your bonus for reading up on the issues. Queerty also has a strong emphasis on interactivity; every Friday, the site offers readers the opportunity to be the opinion-makers by posting a “hot-button” issue facing the gay community and asking readers to weigh in.
