This should probably go without saying, but Twitter is a public forum. Anyone can see what you’re posting unless your updates are private. If you’re going to tweet about people and products, remember that they can easily find what you said through a simple Twitter search, even if they don’t follow your updates. (And they will.) So the next time you want to bash your coworkers or roommates, think again. Do you really want them to read this? Just like with any other social media, a good rule to follow is not to post anything you wouldn’t want your mom or boss to read. If you want to say something to someone in private, send them a direct message.
