Veteran food critic and author of nine cookbooks, Dorie Greenspan shares her love of food through her website. Despite the fact that she “burned down [her] parents’ kitchen when [she] was 13,” Greenspan has built a career in the food industry over the past 20 years, working with a number of renowned chefs, including the great Julia Child. Greenspan’s enthusiasm, fascination, and — most importantly — worldly knowledge of food are evident in her writing. She posts recipes as well as linking to the articles she writes for Parade and Bon Appétit magazines. Her blog also includes her favorite restaurants, chefs, and artisans from New York, Paris, and her hometown in suburban Connecticut. The food she writes about comes from all over the world and varies from curried chicken en papillote (in a pouch) to a French pear tart. From the look of the photos, every recipe is worth a try. Use this site as inspiration for your next culinary adventure.
